From a Wuhan Production Line to a Tangshan Mine Truck

One of our suppliers, Zhongke Haina, just signed a 10 GWh sodium-ion battery line in Wuhan—billed as the world's largest sodium-ion cell line, with a 3 GWh first phase due to start construction early next year.

But the more relevant news is already running: their sodium-ion mine truck, built with Tongli, has been operating at a Tangshan mine since July 2026—676 kWh pack, 20–25 minute fast charge, 8,000+ cycles, good from -40°C to 45°C.

Sodium's pitch isn't higher energy density—it's cold-weather performance, fast charging, and long cycle life, exactly what remote Canadian mines need. The takeaway isn't "switch suppliers"; it's to put sodium on the technology comparison list for fixed-route, heavy-haul scenarios, even if only to request cold-temperature test data.
